My car is stock right now except for the free mods. I am wondering if it would run faster if I replaced the intercooler with some pipe when it is only around 35 degrees outside or below. Would the cold air cool the pipes enough?

Thanks

You'll go faster with the intercooler. Mitsubishi doesn't like making parts that don't have functions. It's there for a reason.

No, you will get more power. You will get less with NO way to cool down the air.

honestly i dont see y you would wanna bypass it  if its 35 deg out side its going to run alot cooler as is.. the intercooler isnt restricting it any esp if its a front mount and if not would the power diff be worth the trouble ?? imo prlly not

Yeah your not gonna see enough difference to warrent taking off and replacing the intercooler and all piping everytime the temp changes. Just keep it on there and dont worry about it - but a set of hard pipes would help if you are worried about that.

No, that would hurt you alot. Think about it, regarless of outside temperature, your block is still heating up alot, along with your turbo. Compressing the air increase the temperature of it dramaticly. They air going into your engine is going at a very fast rate. No intercooler=bad
