If you have to worry about emissions, might as well just get the high-flow cat and save all the mess under the carraige.

I am going to do one, only mine will be different. I just got my exhaust redone, and I put my 3" DP on -> 2 blt flange -> 2blt flange -> 3" high flow cat -> 2 blt flange -> 2 blt flange -> rest of existing exhaust, whichi is 3" custome tube. Well I have droppd the cat atm and running open DP, but What I plan on doing is get a cut out just like that and making a "test pipe" out of it and then having the cut out there for track use. Also plannedo n getting an electric cut out peice and putting some pipe so it comes out by the back tire, then all that sound isnt right under me and kinda controls it a bit more, but then at the flick of a switch, boom I got full exhaust again.

Mine will with money. But the e-cutouts bolt to the little 3 bolt flange on the pipe he posted. Then you can add pipe length from either one to where you want it.

E-cutouts will invariably fail over time, and probably lose their ability to fully seal beforehand. It's a tradeoff of having to crawl under there for when you REALLY need it, vs. having the 'cool loud exhaust button'.

Not a bad price, but if placed before the high-flow cat it must get pretty loud when it opens up. My only concern is how strong is that flapper? The amount of exhaust flow at WOT has to put a lot of pressure on the device.

It will sound about like open DP, maybe a bit quieter due to some still flowing out exhaust that's there. And I don't think exhaust pressure on the flapper is a big deal as it will go path of least resistance and exhaust pressure is relatively low as is anyway, and won't blow it open.

I'm running catless, so mine is mounted after the test pipe next to the rear diff. It's obviously louder, but not that bad actually. More of a nice deep gurgling sound rather than the high-pitched raspiness that an open DP has.

As to how strong it is, it has a pretty beefy gearbox and doesn't seem to leak at 30 psi and 57 lbs/minute.

And munky nailed it with this:

If it does start leaking, Dave will just send out a replacement free of charge. He has some of the best customer service I've seen, and according to him has yet to see one of the motors fail...even after a 24-hour burn in with max current draw applied continuously.

Looks pretty good, same concept for mine just putting it in place of the cat. Same flanges same lengths so I can swap the cat in for emissions reasons.
