I'm looking for a source to get those stainless steel hoses I see all the time around here. Not looking to spend all that much but so you know what I'm talking about ill supply the following image:

I'll show you some of the ones I want to replace too.

The ones in red are those i want to replace.

The ones in blue.. give me some ideas. I think they're engine coolant pipes but the paint has cracked and they've rusted fairly badly on the outside.

I'll be getting some ebay headers instead of whats there and that should clean it up a bit. All other ideas are welcome as well.

Here's a close-up on that hose connecting to the valve cover. They've fitted an orange hose and sprayed it black. Of course the spray paint came off while cleaning the engine. Just for kicks here it is.

I do want to powder coat the cover. It's in pretty rough shape. Might end up just painting it.

It's -AN hose. Search any car site like Jegs or Summit etc. Some are better than others and you'll pay for it through them. Perhaps you have a local shop that will cut lines for you. I just found one down the road that's called "Hoses while you wait".

I just did a few new ones over the weekend and replaced the fuel feed and still have to get a 8an 90 for the afpr. Got close to 300.00 in the new 10an fittings and lines and 8an fitting longer line. I also have s.s. Flex hot rod radiator hoses and the same for heater hoses that I have 150.00 in to. I still have to do all the 4am vac lines for the car.
It is far from cheap to do an lines and fittings.

this is what I have spent close the 300.00 on over the last few weeks

I've been drinking for a which but when insaw the last pictures I thoguht "Damn, that cas is flipped on it's side!!". LOL

I personally hate using braided stainless hoses and will never use them again. I had some and ended up switching back to rubber (sill with -AN fittings though) just because it can be such a pain to work with.

Wow, my post is odd...

Nate I couldn't agree more with you, Push-Lok is 100x better. No more "needle stabs" from the hose, easier to cut, easier to maneuver, easier to install!

LOL you guys are funny. I thought the same 5 years ago when I first tired to do SS fittings, and now I'll choose them over anything. Even pushlok. They are so easy to work with. You just have to learn how to do it. I can put one together in less than a few minutes.
use a big chisel and 3lb hammer and hit it until it cuts. No fraying, no need to wrap it in black tape. Use some oil and slide the fitting on and tighten.

I found the place that has good prices are AN Plumbing Earls Fitting, Earls Plumbing AN Hose, Fuel Management

If you need help with assembly this was worth the money until I learned how to not need one. KOUL tools, LLC - Lake Havasu City, AZ

And yes 16an lines are NOT cheap. So keep your stock radiator hoses. Or go to autozone and get the stuff that looks like this and slides on over it.

Also you guys that stab yourself with the hose can get the black/lightweight hose. It's not SS all around and 10times easier to assemble, so you should try that first.

As stated, it gets expensive. However, I use ebay for the hose and fittings, as 9 times out of 10 they are cheaper than anywhere. I can 6 an hose for $4 a ft, and each fitting varies. Just search around.
