Hey i have a bov and was told by a friend i may want to adjust it a little more? i mean i can pop it open at like 1.5k-2k rpms... I have a pic of it in my pictures, im not sure if theres a way to adjust it or not? I know all bov's are different so hopefully you guys can see the pic of mine maybe you'll have an idea how to help, thanks.

Looks like an RFL. Those things are super soft, so that you can make the blowoff sound at very low boost. Depending on your boost level, tightening down the BOV will let the valve stay shut under more pressure.

Oh, you're also not doing yourself a favor by venting the BOV to atmosphere. Search the topic "vent to atmosphere" for why it's a bad thing for our cars specifically. Although you can't recirculate with your particular BOV, it is definitely worth the investment to purchase one that does.

Don't let the spring pop out and catch you in the eye...

...but yeah, the top just screws off.

Get a 1g bov, and recuirc tube...I think it takes some enginuity to make the recuirc tube work with 2g mas, but I'm sure you can figure it out..

Ohh, one question...Does your car kinda skip or run funny when you shift? JW, cause you are vented to atmosphere..

1g bov's are like 30 bucks..There not that bad...If I didn't need the extra ones I have i'd send you one... But ya, unsrew the top and tighten it up, then it won't come open and low boost...

But the bov you have is probly there just to hear tha Waaa Pssshhhh anyway...Which is fine, but your going to need it tighter, to be running higher boost...And will make more sound when boost is up too..

yeah I wish there was like a diagram on how to do this, i can't even identify what kind of a bov this is. The guy up top said it could be an RFL, what's that?

I wish i had $30 bucks I'd buy some dinner and gas LOL. I'm stuck in the worst part of the recession a little old farts town in Florida. Nooooo jobs.

Hey nick your profile is correct right?

The bov you have looks like a turbo xs, atmosphere vent..Which are sweet to hear the waaa pshhh, but suck donkey bal**..

What color spring is in there? It should have come with 2 springs one red and one yellow( I think)...I have the same one in a box, minus the atmosphere dump..Even blue just like yours.LOL

Yeah just unscrew it, and put some washers or quarters or whatever in there..That will change the spring rate inside the bov.It takes maybe ten minutes if your wasted...Good luck..

LOL i found it, it LOOKS like a turbo xs but those have all rounded housings, this one has like a cude shape housing in the middle of the bov i found it here:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/EVO-ECLIPSE-TALON-BOV-TURBO-BLOW-OFF-VALVE-TYPE-H-B07_W0QQitemZ230358446634QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMotors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories?hash=item35a26ef22a&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245&_trkparms=65%3A12|39%3A1|72%3A1171

But mine is blue. It came with the car i bought from some punk loser So it doesnt have any extra springs with it.

Your link don't work...Could probly use some spaces or something..

Ya it definatly looks like a turbo xs bov..But it could also just be a knockoff ebay bov...

If it's made the same as the real turbo xs one I have..The top just screws off, exposing the spring...

I think mine is in a box in storage, or I would show you how it just screws off..

hopefully this works. see behind the horn on the bov housing itself its flat like a cube kinda shape.

UGH just copy and paste the link LOL.

Ok here is your pic with an outline of what I'm talking about..Where I circled it, it where it just screws off...Hold your hand over top so spring don't shoot the hell out..

GREAT my friggen keys are locked in my car! what the EFF.

Two screwdrivers to pry the door open, a coat hanger with a shoelace attached to it with a loop at the end of the shoelace, have someone pry on the screw drivers while you catch the loop around the trunk release, once you get it on there pull it up and climb in :thumb:

Or the easy thing to do would be to get one of those hide-a-keys and put it someone under your car.

If your sunroof is open, stick your broom handle in there and push the door unlock thing..Trust me,It's happend to me before too..

If you have a vacume leak, you might not have enough vacume to pop open the solonoid in the bov....But you should not have to worry about that..

Got it unlocked already, got the bov out and took it apart, there is already 6 washers in it LOL, but the spring is still pretty flimsy stuck 2 more quarters in it, i'll check it out when i can jumpstart my car...I feel so stupid this never happens to me, but yesterday we had a flood i was in a rush to get inside.
