im not to sure if my bov is adjusted correctly and i was wondering since its recirculated how are you supposed to adjust it? take the recirculation tube off and adjust? i have a knockoff of the greddy type rs...dont got the cash right now to buy a new bov. also seems kinda hard to tell if its the bov releasing pressure or a compressor surge...and distinct differences? sorry for the dumb questions

I am not sure how to adjust it.

But, The way I did mine was.

I Removed the Recirculated hose and did a leak test, I put only the psi that I am doing.

Like, in my case, I was 22psi, so I did the leak test at 25psi, and check the BOV not to leak.

When I did the leak test, The BOV opened at 18psi, so I adjusted.

Don't quote me on this, I am not sure if this is the wright way to do it,

I just wanted to let you know, the way I did it.

(It has being working good).

ok I think alot of people dont understand how a bov works first of all boost keeps your blow off valve shut and vaccum opens it
so with that in mind here is how you should set it up first take off the rec. hose start your car use a pen light or flashlight to see inside to where the valve is seated start to loosen your set screw on top of the bov wait to see it to start slightly opening and tighten the set screw and thats about it it will get u close anyway remember boost pressure keeps it shut and vaccum w/ extra pressure opens it also if you think about it if you have the air recirculated then its not really leaking. alot of people have there bov's all wrong because they buy them just for sound.
