I was looking at my car, and removed my front bumper, I removed the air dam and want to put a front mount intercooler. Now my question is do i need to remove any of my ac things, the bottle or any of the lines. I rather shave into my bumper. Any thoughts?:dsm:

there is always a little "trimming". I had to remove airdams, p/s cooler, bumper support, cut flashing below horn, and enlarged the hole at the intercooler.

you've got to remove your rebar (the long peice that goes from frame rail to frame rail)
then you can install any fmic

I really couldn't find a way to keep the p/s cooler, short of relocating it. It is, however, easy to remove/bypass.

Where my PS cooler was bolted to the vertical brace in front of the radiator, I moved the ps cooler, behind that brace.

i have tons of pics of what i did you dont need to remove anything just move and trim a little with the cooler you just need to cut it and put soft lines on it lemme see if i can get the pics on here as for the ac lines you need to do a little bending be careful not to kink them

you will need sawsall, wire cutters, slimline fan,zip ties,welder,90degree L bracket to cut ,4 feet of trannie line ,a n/t throttle body works best go to a Juck yard and spen 15 on one and then you can buy an ebay kit i did and im boosting 23psi no prblems

How big of a core do you want to install? I have the Punishment Racing core and I just enlarged the holes for the IC pipes and cut into the crash beam. I could leave the A/C and P/S there if I wanted too. There is alot of bracing in the crashbeam to cut out. I used a plasma cutter but grinding wheels should suffice.

Just remember that the front bumper support helps stiffen the frame as well. It will affect the handling of the car if you remove it.

I relocated my PS Cooler behind the center bracket. Never removed my actual rebar bumper, just cut a hole out that the intercooler could fit inside, that way I still had a damn bumper. Easy as pie, cut an inch out of the mouth of the bumper and your golden.
