I was not sure where to put this, so I just stuck it in here, technically it is bolt on...

Anyways, I bought Image Dynamics CTX65 speakers for the doors, made brackets, installed them, sounded great, but then...

The Tweeter was tall to put the door panel back on! I drilled a nice hole and cleaned it up so I looked nice, but I was wondering what others have for this?

Thanks!

Also, welcome to ideas :)

You could have got components and mounted the tweeter somewhere else ... or got a speaker that has the tweeter flushed and doesn't have it sticking out of the speaker.

The tweeters from my components are in the stock speaker location in the dash.

FYI - This is not bolt-on tech.

Does your door rattle after doing that custom job?? You would think that it would damage the structural integrity of the door.

Seems like door rattle is usually attributed to the little plastic tab that holds your window in place breaking off. At least, that's what I've read and what's happened to me.
