What are some good taillight modifications?

With my RS I put two really light coats of nightshades on them. And I love the look, they're not blacked out and they're not stock. They're like a dark cherry color. If I had a better picture of them where they don't look so dark I'd post it.

Did tinting the headlights reduce the brightness at all? I'm sure it did, but did you get new brighter bulbs or something?

Didn't effect anything, I didn't tint them. I took them apart and blacked out the inside. You can kinda see it in this pic. Only one I have on the phone right now.

I'm not a fan of the smoked lights either. I do like the body color center like many, as well as my satin black center...

Or you could do an LED mod of some sort:...

Hey everyone,

It's been a long time since I posted anything on these forums. I've recently started doing stuff to my car again and so that's what brought me here with this:

I'm considering painting the center part of the tail lights to match the color of the car. I think it would look different and make the car stand out in a non-ricer way. I've already swapped the tail lights with those from a 90 Talon. I think they have a cleaner look because they don't have that strip that goes down the middle that is painted the same color as the chassis. I never liked that.

Anyway, here's what it looks like now. I'd like to get some feedback about the idea and if possible, maybe some suggestions on how to paint that piece, since I'm new to DIY paint.

I recent did my car in White Plastidip, and left the center piece white....

That looks insane, in a good way!! Looks completely painted I just wanna peel a piece off ;p

How many cans/clear / hours did it take?

Yea around $300 for the kit, but it also includes an electronic sprayer I think.

Got dogs two. 2 cats, 2 dogs, 2 goats and 6 chickens.

I thought about dipping the whole car. I did do my hood, thought it was great then a cat with muddy feet walked across it. I've scrubbed it 4 times and still have prints. So I'm not doing that.

I was thinking about doing my hood. White cars with black hoods seem to look so sick.
