What are some good, but not crazy expensive gauges?

I recently purchased a pillar pod for I 1g, with it i bought Megan Racing tinted series gauges. The only problem is Megan Racing gauges are really hard to see during the day. So i have been looking for some better gauges but having a hard time finding good ones that aren't way exprensive. I would prefer not to go with any tinted series. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks! Brian

Autometer makes some great gauges. They make a series that is right for damn near anyone. You should check out their website. If you want something a little higher up i would check out some of the basic Defi's or the SAGA line.

Autometer. Good quality, relatively cheap and they make so many diffferent color schemes there is something for everybody.

I have Autometer Ultra Lite they are cheap simple and work great. If you want even cheaper try ebay there are a lot of great deals on there!

I also use autometer ultralites....not expensive at all in my opinion, and work and look great too. :thumb:

Okay, I am going to be the tester on this one. I bought the dual pod that came with a boost and A/F gauge about a year ago. The guys name on ebay is 101propose. I bought the pod with the gauges off him. The brand is like Mookeeh. I know it osunds cheap, but I have had no problems what so ever, Except! LOL My A/F gauge doesnt work now, BUT it was my fault cuase I let it hang there by the wires once a little too long, and a wire came out inside. The only other thing is that the needle on the boost gauge had a paint on it that is starting to flake off, but his new boost gauge has a plastic needle tha lights up with the gauge. As long as they still keep working correctly, i will stick with them and buy the other gauges to match.

Just a thought,

Although, sometimes you can get lucky and find some good deals on autometers

Wow, so i'm gonna get off the autometer train.

To me, autometer gauges seem cheap. like. really cheap. I'm going with VDO electronics. I personally like their vision series, as it has a very stock appearance to it, however they do sell flashier things as well.

VDO is quality. They use many of the same gauges for aviation purposes, and also are OEM for some car manufacturers. I know BMW has used them (not sure if they still do) as well as some others.

we use auto meter. they may not be the most expensive but a good bang for the buck.
good quality gages are important. would you buy shoes for your feet from the dollar store?

Autometer, VDO. They're both in the same boat, gauges that are good enough in quality to get the job done without jacking up the price.

I would like to thank everyone for their suggestions, i got a really good deal on auto meter pro comp ultra lites. Got them off ebay!

I'm also going to go against the grain and say VDO is a great brand with a great price. $40 or so for an accurate, simple boost gauge which has a font that matches the OEM gauges pretty well.. that's pretty hard to beat. For my future gauges, I'll probably go with Autometer, though, just to keep everything the same.

I have Faze and I like em. They look great in the day and night imo
