Title says it all. I was just going to tint them with nightshades, but I kind of want to know all of my options. I have a white eclipse if that makes any difference. I have seen the insane strobe flashing things, I would love to have them but I don't know the first thing to do when it comes to all of that haha.

98 Eclipse Sequential LED Tail Lights - YouTubecheck out this vid just some ideas.

you can get a strobe light kit any parts store sells them and re wire them into your tail lights. not hard to do if you have the time and tools. I know autozone and advanced carries them in some states (other states they're illegal) so you would have to check yourself. If you need help you can always seach how to install strobe kit for tail lights but for headlights and tail lights its pretty much the same concept

The old school clears look good on white cars.
There was a set of edm tails on ebay that didn't sell, I'm sure he would relist them if you asked.

What do the clear tail lights look like on the car?

I will look into this, I saw those the other day but I thought they'd be incredibly difficult.

That's not a strobe kit, that's aone off custom made setup.

Well one of the more popular local cops is banging my cousin. Think that'll get me out of a ticket? :D
Why do I never see the white lights below it tinted?

:) Well, the bumper is a modified bomex. It was cut into 18 pieces and the splitter is covered with cf...
It took nearly 150 hours of workXD
If you'd pay that- you'll get one, but even shipping from germany would kill your budget for just a bumper ^^

Hey everyone,

It's been a long time since I posted anything on these forums. I've recently started doing stuff to my car again and so that's what brought me here with this:

I'm considering painting the center part of the tail lights to match the color of the car. I think it would look different and make the car stand out in a non-ricer way. I've already swapped the tail lights with those from a 90 Talon. I think they have a cleaner look because they don't have that strip that goes down the middle that is painted the same color as the chassis. I never liked that.

Anyway, here's what it looks like now. I'd like to get some feedback about the idea and if possible, maybe some suggestions on how to paint that piece, since I'm new to DIY paint.

Because they barely work as it is. "Smoked" or whatever varieties are available.

OP, leave your poor taillights alone. There's already an awkward looking, color inverted millennium falcon in this thread - don't let it multiply!
Really though, no insults intended, just going for a little humor. I much prefer stock tails with the center portion painted the same color as the car. - ESPECIALLY on a North Star White.

I am with you on this one. Never been a fan of the "smoked' taillights. They look good stock or with the center painted to match the body color. I have my center painted and it looks nice.

I like the nightshades. I think I went with 4 or 5 coats, then 3 to 4 coats of clear.

That looks sick haha, that's what I'm going to do probably.

How did you paint it and how much did it cost?

Thanks, eventually I'm doing the back up lights and getting a smoked license plate cover. I did not tint the third brake light. That way I know they can atleast see that. :D

I also tinted my turn signals and blacked out my headlights. Sooner or later the car is going all black.

Did tinting the headlights reduce the brightness at all? I'm sure it did, but did you get new brighter bulbs or something?

This. Tail lights are supposed to be red, not black.

Painted center piece rocks though :hellyeah:
