What are some good taillight modifications?

a cool way to try a few things out to see if you like it or to just keep things fresh. ive used plasti dip clear in 3 coats. and then painted over it with whatever.. whether it be night shades or car color, regular auto paint.. if i didnt like it or got tired of it.. i could still rip it off and start all over. and opinion body color matched centers just enhance the good looks of the car.

I was thinking about doing my hood. White cars with black hoods seem to look so sick.

Yeah they do, that dip stuff looks good it's just those prints that I can't get off. But I don't have"mud" down here, it's clay nasty stuff. Sticks to everything. Depending on when you are you prob wouldn't have that problem. :)

Pic of said prints :D

Did you take off the hood and then do it or just mask off sides, window, and bumper and go from there?

I popped the hood, took a drop cloth and laid it down and closed the hood on it. Took a big piece of cardboard to cover the windshield.

Would have been just as easy to take the hood off if I had someone to carry the other side.

Well that is actually a good idea. Never thought of that.

I would think any kind of LED mod would count, such as what I see in your avatar picture, and what I've done and others have done to tail lights. You got any more pics of yours?

When their done yessir.I'll have a few more..But I was up late last night getting them wired. And then I spent a couple hours today so I could upload this current photo of them..I have to do the turn signals yet, and the bottoms.

I got a avitar remider because of the current photo too.I laughed pretty hard. They must have thought it was pchopped or something.

I'm not happy with the bottom yet at all..So I still have some tweaking and sanding to do to the center for sure.

Definitely update when you can, those look sick.

Very nice. I still have yet to do my new design for my LED tails. They're gonna look similar to the.new dodge charger. Unfortunately I spend way too many hours at work, so by the time I get home, I'm too tired to care. On of these days though. Looking forward to seeing yours, looking good so far.

I think it looks like shit.

Same person who said the same kind of thing on my LED mod posts... no surprise. Not trying to start a war here, but we know you think this all looks like crap. You don't need to bring down everyone who does like these mods. We're all just adding our little piece of styling and such. No one said everyone has to like it. If you don't, why bother looking?

The cleanest look IMO:

Like! I'm all red on my Minden GSX right now also. However what I like to do is get a can of Candy Red Translucent Paint and go over them with it. That gives them a darker look and lights up pure red instead of orange LOL.

Here are my old tail lights I just sold:

If that is a bite at me.I didn't ask you for your opinion, its my car, my work,my burnt fingers.

Also unique is one way to put it, and again it's my damm car.

Your just jealous. But thanks for stopping in

I tried and failed in this aspect. I wish you luck, maybe you'll have better than I did. But don't let anyone discourage your drive to mod your lights.
