What are the best gauges

If you don't care about price, then don't bother with gauges. Ditch your stock cluster and go for a racepak or stack cluster with all the pressure/temp addons you want.

the gauges im looking at are

oil pressure
oil temp
volt meter
wide band air/fuel uego im guessing i need the controller aswell (single or duel channel)
boost or tru boost unsure which is best to get?

thats all i need i think.

i dont want to get rid of the stock set i like them to much LOL weird i know but im not going that hard core haha

Stewart Warner or Autometer and trust me with correct installation you'll have no problems. Those two companies are very reliable and much use in the real race world. Trust the basic gauges over all image.

I have pro sport gauges. Not a big fan. It seems that my boost gauge is off by -2 LBS.l:notgood:

Ive got Autometer and Greddy and have had ZERO problems with either of them.

If you don`t care about price I would get Defi gauges, there really nice.

Also if you decide to go with the AEM gauges you only need the Tru boost gauge if you don`t have a boost controller, its a combination of the 2.

Yeah, I've heard a lot of stories about the inaccuracy of pro sport gauges. Always go with mechanical for boost.

The bad thing about the Defi and Greddy is the boost gauge only goes up to 30 psi. And electronic boost controlling are unreliable for high boost but that all determine on what your goal are.

Oh and I would forget about the Volt meter and get a Fuel Pressure gauge instead, but that`s just my 2 cents.

ok ill get the fuel pressure them makes sense i guess. im looking at a boost controller not sure wether to get the apexi avcr or the hks evc? i know boost controllers dot work well over 25psi or sumink like that but im not going big boost so im ok with 1 of these.

If you're going with electronic get the Greddy Profec B. It is the best out there.

thank ill take a look at it and read more up on the unit but the other 2 systems are not bad and are good though so i could use them if i dont decide to go with the greddy setup?

In my experience at least, the AVC-R is an awesome unit. It's a little tricky to set up, but we got it running up to 28psi on a T04E 60 trim with no problems at all. The boost by gear function was also very useful in taming the wheelspin in 1st and 2nd (inevitable when you're making 1.0 bar at 2750RPM).

ill just go with the apexi then ill get some pro's to tune and set it up while i got it all going in as theres other things ill need before i go that far this boost controller is the last thing ild prob do

why not get a ball and spring type boost controller? It'll save you about $350+ if your buying the apex'i boost controller. Also autometers are pretty damn accurate for guages as stated previously. Just my honest opinion. Sorry if its not what you wanted to hear.

i dont really like the look of them plus ive read that people have alot of problems with them they just look a bit cheaper then the others!

The look is a personal prefrence. There are alot cheaper gauges out there. Ive never had any problems out of mine. And id rather have a decent lookin gauge that was accurate then a pretty gauge that wasnt accurate. Im not sayin buy autometer, just do your resarch and find a relibale maker.

thats why im looking at AEM as ive heard alot of good things from them unless i get told otherwise prosport and autometer have had SOME bad reviews not saying aem hasent im just saying that i cant find them reviews if it has? i like to keep to one makes for certain products im getting apexi tt / apexi oil cooler and maybe an apexi intercooler and the apexi boost controller.

I KNOW YOUR ALL TRYING TO HELP AND I DID ASK SO I THANK YOU FOR YOUR SURPORT AND HELP SO ILL GO AWAY AND TAKE A GOOD LOOK AT THEM ALL.

when it comes to cars NO!!!!! ill spend more if i need to then what others will BUT im not allways buying the most expensive ill go on reviews and recommeded items aswell but if you buy cheap then il will either break or not be as good.

just thought it would be cool LOL i wont get that thought thought it would be a laugh LOL just to get some reactions on it.

i know i said i WONT get it but take a look at this video its awsome and i can use it with other products aswell and by the looks of it just connects to your diagnostic port? hmmmmm?
