I just recently purchased a 90 Talon TSI AWD w/129k miles. The seller mentioned that he blew the original turbo and just had it replaced with a used 14b. I Have the white smoke issue and discovered that it is most likely another bad turbo. I felt for shaft play, and it is very minimal (only a pinch of "side to side" play). Car is running really slow and seems like I'm barely getting any boost. Not only that, I found Oil in the intake snorkel, BOV hose, and UICP. I'm pretty sure that the replacement turbo he put on was bad. I will be cleaning out these parts, along with replacing the turbo, but I'm not sure if there's anything else I should clean out or replace. Please advise :D

here's what i can think of so far....

-turbo to mani. gasket,
-exhuast mani. gasket,
-o2 housing gasket,
-new crush wasers for oil and water lines,
-oil return line gasket.
-maybe some porting
