What is the best way to rid the block of surface rust? Thermo clean?

No, you will want to keep the 6 bolt squirters. they are feed from the primary oil galley, and not from the main bearings.

I was supposed to call you, my bad man, but thanks for the info.

Here's a pic of the 6 bolt, I went a different route man.

Also I have to get new main caps, and girdle. Was going with jay racing caps and kiggly girdle, do you know where I can get new squirters from?

You know you will spend about $200 to get the replacement caps line bored to fit the block?

I hope they gave you the block.

Yeah I'm aware. And no I got it for 50 bucks. I'm shooting to match or even beat nick and his awd spyder, and he's pushing 650, so I know I have a lot of work to do.
