Clutch just went out on me. loose as a goose and doesnt go into gear.

A friend and I took out the old master and slave cylinder and waiting on the new parts to come in.

I am a little confused on bleeding the system.

I heard to
open valve
hold down clutch
close valve
open valve
hold down clutch as much as you need to.

Am I supposed to be bleeding the system with the new parts or old parts?

with the new parts after you put them on. Since you interduced air into the system you have to get it out.

Let it gravity blead out before doing anything or you'll be at it for awhile... When you get the new parts on make sure you adjust it properly he's a how to if you don't already how.

remember to adjust the master cylinder rod when done bleeding!

how would I know when its right?

I can't give you a link on my iPod right now but YouTube Jack's Transmission proper clutch adjustment. It will give a very good explanation and demonstration of how to do it.
