Bleeding the clutch, help!!

hey i need to bleed the clutch on my car and i need to know the basics and how to do it. thanks

Searching google or even on here would've brought up 1000's of threads explaining the process.

To make it easier get a friend to sit in the car. Break the clutch bleeder on the slave cylinder open and have your friend press and hold the pedal to the floor. Once the fluid is all done coming out tighten the bleeder, now have your friend release the clutch pedal. Do this until no more air bubbles come out.

Now crack the bleeder open and push and hold the slave cylinder rod in, tighten bleeder, let go of slave rod. Repeat 2-3 times. Done!

Put some kind of thread sealant on the bleeder screw. I use teflon tape. Connect a hose to the bleeder, drench the hose in a bottle of brake fluid. Pump away until you stop hearing air gurgling and make sure the reservoir stays filled the whole time. This is how I bleed everything and it's the true one-person way of doing it besides buying speed bleeders.

You can just use grease as a sealant. Use a clear hose, then loop the hose up over something higher than the nipple, and put the end in a clear glass jar with the end submerged in fluid. This is so bubbles in the line don't creep back up into the cylinder, and so you can see when the fluid is bubble-free. You'll have to keep getting out of the car to check and fill the reservoir, so just keep checking the jar for clean, bubble-free fluid while you're at it.

BTW the amount you open the bleeder so that it is open enough to pass fluid out, but not so open that it sucks in air, is tiny; like an 1/8 - 1/4 turn.
