best option for rethreading turbo

I've heard good things and bad things about using helicoils to repair the hole connecting the manifold to the turbo. Has anyone had a good experience with this where the helicoil held up fine? I've heard that threaded taps such as time-serts hold up better but are expensive and i would have to order it online. It would be easier to get ahold of helicoils but I want to do it right and have to go through this again in a month. thanks.

Helicoil will work fine, you can also just remove the broken bolt and get it rethreaded so the threads will be smooth, I recommend you getting 8 oem lock washers 2 on each turbo bolt when you reinstall the manifold to hotside
