I just bought a car that came with a BEP exhaust manifold. I didn't even know they made one. It has "BEPDSM7" stamped into the #1 runner and it looks like an Evo 3 clone with an external wastegate provision that has been welded shut. Does anyone have info on this manifold? All I could find was that it was maybe a warranty replacement for the terrible SBR manifolds.

Exactly what I was looking for! Thank you, I have heard of HAFE and I'm glad to know I shouldn't have the cracking problems the SBR manifolds had. Looks like it should be a good match for the FP Green that's bolted to it.

I'm pushing over 70lbs/min through one of these. With a bolton fp 3582htz my back pressure is low enough to hit 40psi with a 14lb spring in my wastegate.

If you have one I see no reason to buy another manifold unless you are going to a t3, or t4 flange.

Damn that's pretty solid, put a sensor on that thing and share a log.
I just took the gm maf off my car because it's readings became erratic at around 70lbs/min. I don't want to go through the hassle of drilling and tapping the exhaust mani for a map sensor because 40lbs of boost on a 14lb Spring tells me all I need to know. By comparison a 22lb Spring on my fp red would barely hit 30psi.

Now that the weather is cooler here I'm hitting high 90's duty cycle with 1650's on e85.

The bolt on fp housings are no joke, they've hit 9's in full weight 1g's. There is no reason to go to an expensive aftermarket setup for goals under 650-700whp. A $2000 turbo, a manifold I bought for $50, and an exhaust I already had makes for a 70lb/min+ setup that hits 20 psi by 4400 Rpms. What else could you want?

And here I was, worried a green would choke on it. Sounds like with a little porting I'll have exactly what I need. Are you using the WG provision on the manifold?

Definitely the last-revision of the SBR manifold, and likely the best as well. Some of the early releases of that manifold had the "BEPDSM7" lettering ground off, but they apparently stopped caring at some point, or just started getting them drop-shipped to the buyer and never got the chance to grind them.

Yes they're essentially an Evo III manifold with a wastegate flange cast on it- but where else are you going to find an Evo III manifold with a wastegate flange cast on it? :p

That being said, if you have one, you should keep it....if you sell it, don't let it go too cheap. ;)
