O.k. after almost three years I just about have enough money to get my car up and running again. One of the first things its gonna need is a clutch. Im not gonna be doing anything crazy to the car for a long time ( Its better to be on the safe side and go over every maintainence point possible ) to make sure everything is running smooth. So im looking for a basic clutch kit that is inexpensive.

In searching I found this: Beck Arnley Clutch Kit.

Here is the web site: Beck/Arnley - Clutch & Driveline Products

Does anyone have any information on them? I've never really heard of them. Any advice would be great. Thanx guys!!

I would just buy one from autozone or advance, maybe napa/carquest.

I put 10k hard miles on the advance stock replacement one i had it lasted good with a 14b with 10-25 psi on it, was only 140 total.

That way you can get it same day and install same day. Make sure to get the flywheel turned or get a new one.

I bought a cheap ebay clutch stage 3 six puck back in June I think and the same xtd lightweight flywheel and have had no problems so far. No more than 300 for both. Very streetable too, just make sure you buy OEM throwout bearing! Shim your pivot ball too.:talon:

Beck-Arnley is a quality replacement import parts company. I've used their clutches on 2 of my previous vehicles and they held up perfectly. They're good as far as STOCK replacement clutches go. If you're looking for something with more holding capacity, look at ACT Clutch or the XTD that nfernotalon suggested. Hope this helps.

I went with advance, because i got it the same day and put the clutch in 1 hour. I did it cause i did not wanna wait for it to be shipped to me.

Beck Arnley Clutchs are fine

Hi there, I am currently planning to buy a new clutch and my cousin said that this particular brand are the best. I mean the arnley clutchs. I still have doubts about this but and still need to read some related thread on this. Have you tried this one?

I would defiantly upgrade above stock...and not a cheap ebay clutch. One of my worst enemies is clutch replacement...i would rather rebuild an engine then replace a clutch!

WHY hasn't somebody closed this yet? I would hope after three years he has made a decicion and upgraded to the point of needing a bigger clutch and starting a new thread altogether.
