First off:
The pivot point rod is screwed into the shifter. So, by using your imagination you can guess what happened, it unscrewed during shifting and became wobbly. Cold weld (a two part automotive resin) fixed this problem. It has a tensile strength of 30,000 psi (I believe).
Second:
It did not come with a bearing to fit inside the pivot point raiser (purple thing). The pivot point rod has a smaller diameter than the bore in the pivot point raiser, so that was loose and wobbly. I had to make my own bearing out of two brass tubes and grease.
The tubes can be found at hobby shops or at a hardware store (found mine at ace)

Edit: or you could find actual bearings to fit inside, I did not look into this option for some reason.
