automatic tranny duribility

im wondering what type power the thing can hold up to.. i know it all depends on how well it was taken care of.. but if its not slipping right now.. i would get the tranny fluid changed within like 2 weeks just to be safe



all i really want to get is about 200whp out of awd

I have heard they can hold anywhere from 300-350 at the crank. So 200whp is doable.

How about 250 whp? Will it hold it?

Im not sure how much drivetrain loss there is in a AWD Auto. Auto tranny causes quite a bit and so does the AWD. But i would guess it would do 250 to the wheels.

At this point I would be worried about the tranny lasting any amount of time though. IMO, I would throw in a shiftkit and a new end clutch and feel safer. Just because the tranny "can" hold it does not mean it should hold it.
