how durible is the 2g block?
At what mileage do most have to be rebuilt?

Other than the crankwalk question (IS it the block's fault?) and lost oil jets, modern engine blocks are miraculous. Hardly anyone remembers what a ridge reamer is. Barring mechanical damage from something inside breaking, I'd not be surprised to find the block has a service life of a half-million miles or more. What wears out is the rings, and figure around 200K for them.
