I just installed my rebuilt 1g head on my 1g with arp head studs.I noticed that the last stud with the top nut torque downed near the exhaust cam gear is not the same thread length as all the other nine studs, for example, the other nine studs with nuts torqued down to specs 30,60,80 has about 5 1/2 thread pitch left, while the one next to the exhaust cam gear has about 4 1/2 thread pitch.I have done a couple head swaps with arp head studs in the past with no problems at all,but encounter this when I was putting in my lifters today,I think I'm just paranoid LOL,any help is appreciated

This may be a silly question, but any chance that you put one in upside down? If you are finger-tightening them, you may not have noticed the allen head....and the threads are different lengths on each end.

Just a thought :)

No I didn't put them upside down LOL,all 10 studs are facing up with the allen head showing,I didn't know that each end were different lengths, thanks for that helpful info :hellyeah:
