There is no difference top or bottom, if there was a difference, it would tell you to install them one way or another. Just put them in, and have a little patience when you ask a question.
 
Um, the link said that there is a difference:

"When looking at the spring helix, the top of the spring (the retainer side) has the coils spaced further apart. At the bottom (cylinder head side) the coils are closer together.

It is kind of like an expanding helix from bottom to top."
