Hey everyone, I need to know the opened and closed seat pressure and the installed height of the stock valve springs on a 1g 6-bolt turbo please. I just need to make sure they are within factory spec so i dont have to purchase new ones. Also is there something else besides that i should have them check while they are at the shop? I started to search, I know and usually do but I'm on my phone and it was taking forever. Thanks everyone in advance.

Thanks but head is apart so I was just wanting to check my springs to see if they were ok for the 272's. :)

Ah, I see. What 272's are you planning on using? Reason being, it might be a wise decision to upgrade springs and retainers. Depends on your budget and goals though.

I was planning on going with the bc cams. Also not planning on reving past the stock limiter. I could spend the money on the upgraded springs and retainers but I figure I could use that money elsewhere. I've talked to machv and they said and list it on their site that stock springs are ok for those cams so I guess it's ok, right?

Will it work... Yes. A lot of people on here have this combo. I would always suggest an upgraded spring just for comfort but its not necessary. If you were running Kelford 272's then yes you would need and upgraded spring. You can get away with the stock valve train here though. :thumb:

Ok they also asked me for lift on my cams so they can check my valve springs. Mine are stock cams 91 6-bolt. Thanks for this info everyone, Keith.
