Anything usable from a 92 awd eagle summit?

No I guess from what I hear the turbo model is very rare. Its running the 2.4l engine nt i think its something like 4g15 engine. I guess the cranks can be used in a 2.3l stroker. And the transmissions are interchangeable with the Talon TSi AWD I think.

It would definitely make a cool sleeper haha

Nope. 4g15 is the 1.6 found in the CSM chassis cars. Although I do not truely know I THINK it is the 4g64 or 67. The block will tell you if you look at the designation stamp and the stamp under the hood will tell you also.

As far as them being sleepers.... They are heavy like a 1g except there are no sweet fiberglass hatches or doors available. And they are ugly. LOL

You can use the crank to make a stroker out of a 4g63 but if the car runs fix it and flip it for some cash, no need to send a difficult to find chassis to the scrapper.

Has a 6bolt 4g64. You will need stronger pistons. 4g63 turbo pistons will not swap in. But a forged set of rods and pistons and you have a great 700whp capable block with 20% more flow than your stock motor.

:hmm:What's wrong with a 1.5mm clearance between the pistons and the cylinders? ha ha

Yeah, the 2.4 is a 4g64 / g4cs. 86.5 x 100, instead of 85 x 88 bore/stroke of the 2.0 4g63. They were also used in Hyundai Sonatas; Hyundai called them a G4CS. Hyundai called the 2.0 (4G63) a G4CP, and also put them in Sonatas.

Kia puts a backwards 4G64 DOHC in their Optima (Hyundai does too in something I think); basically a 2.4L version of an Evo 8 engine. 10.5:1 compression and 162hp. Those pistons could probably be used in the older 2.4's by putting them in backwards like people do with Evo 8 pistons (and machine the rods if using in a 6-bolt), great compression ratio for E85.

Your quote is a little off, you should rectify your misquote.

The optima used a DOHC? I've been researching these engines alot lately and wow I was way off on my last posts LOL. Would the optima DOHC head replace the SOHC head without raising the compression too much like the 4g63 head? Or does the DOHC model come with valve reliefs in the pistons?
