1G Anyone have a 3g/evo maf in there 1g?

Any reason you dont want to use the 2g Maf? Just wondering I guess..
The evo one will fit right into the stock 1g intake pipe, and the maf itself is shorter than a 2g Maf, hopefully giving me enough room for a filter. I know some have issues with not having enough room for a filter with a 2g maf in a 1g.

I don't have it on right at the moment but it fits with a short filter and clears my aftermarket UICP for the sidemount IC and the factory rubber intake pipe. I'll see if I can measure the filter length or get you a picture of the MAF and filter.

That would be great, I also have a FMIC with short route piping, so I have some extra room because of no IC pipe in that area. I was looking at getting this filter for it, it measures 5 inches long, so if anyone can get some measurements, since I do not have that maf yet or I would myself.

Gains?

It flows more air and is less of a restriction. It allows your other mods to work more efficiently. The big difference is the MAF outlet is round rather than oval so it fits the 1G stock turbo inlet pipe.

Like any other Mitsubishi MAF swap it requires ECU corrections to account for the change.
