Anyone ever had to replace the door handle on a 2g talon/eclipse with dynamat?

Had dynamat applied to sound proof a 95 eagle talon when we did the stereo install. Made for a killer sound system!
Now the dreaded door handle curse has struck, and unsure how much trouble this is going to be to get in there and swap the door handle. I have yet to look and wanted to do some research before I just dive in.
Has anyone had to swap the handles with dynamat or sound proof mat applied before?
How much of a pain was it?
Any tips?

It’ll be a little messy. Feel for the spots that are not covering metal and cut your opening to access the door workings.

There are posts on here that will walk you through the steps and tricks of changing out the handle the easiest way, so you should be able to tell from those which openings need to be cut open.

Have extra Dynamat on hand to cover the holes when you are done.
