Any other exhausts with a slanted tip like the Thermal R&D?

Pretty much as the title states, I'm looking for an exhaust with a slant tip like the Thermal R&D. I've seen plenty of people having good success with some of the cheaper exhausts and was wondering if there was any other reasonably priced alternative.

btw, it's for a 97 TSi AWD

my only requirements are 3 inch stainless and a decent fit (No welding and cutting required)

As I tell everyone, the Thermal exhaust is a great product, but I personally don't think it's worth the price difference over a good exhaust off of eBay. I bought a Tsudo 3" cat-back (appears to be identical to the SR-S) off eBay almost 2 years ago and installed it with my 3" downpipe and I couldn't be happier. It had perfect fitment and sounds good. Here's some pics and a video of my exhaust back when I installed them.

I had the Tsudo, but it went with my car. I can't find it anywhere on ebay now, just SRS. I liked it A LOT.

I like it a lot too. As far as I know the SR-S is the same though, but I'm not positive because I haven't personally used it. They do look the same to me (in person).

No Thermal system I've ever seen has a slanted tip....unless you're referring to the angle at which the tip is welded to the muffler (muffler itself is angled, but tip comes out straight and is parrallel with the back of the car).

I have the megan racing exhaust which comes out at an angle. Here is a pic of my car(which is hard to tell) and a pic of some random car that has the megan exhaust. Mine has the burnt look to it but is at the same angle as the black car's.

ya i think the op is saying is he is looking for the tip to be straigh/ at a right angle ...?

Exactly. I'm not a big fan of the angled look. I like the look of the Thermal because it exits the bumper straight.

I had a LOLeBay exhaust, stainless steel...my ass, maybe stainless coated, by not stainless steel. My eBay started to rust (it WAS the Tsudo for those who were going to bring that up). I got rid of it immediately for a Megan, which sounded decent and hasn't rusted at all.

I now have a Thermal. I will never use anything else.

Looking at the pics for the Thermal, it looks like the pipe tapers to a smaller size where it attaches to the dp/cat. Is this the case or are my eyes playing tricks on me?

It does, it tapers down to fit a stock Cat. I had a muffler shop cut that off and weld it to my 3" high flow Cat. Worked great!

My exhaust didn't taper down to fit the stock cat. It also sounds nice to me in person, but that's all opinion. As far as rust goes, the only rust that's showed up on mine in 2 years is after driving on salted roads. The muffler started to show surface rust where salt was flung off the left rear tire. It was very minor and came off with a little chrome polish and looks like new now. The piping itself is still virtually rust free. I have no problem with someone wanting to spend $600 on a cat-back exhaust that is a quality product, but I'll still stick with mine that cost less then $200 shipped to my door any day.

So, if I was to buy a Megan downpipe and the Thermal exhaust, I would have to get the exhaust modified to fit, correct?
