pulled the clutch pedal assembly back out re welded every thing just to make sure... trying to find a nut to weld to the u bracket just to have a little extra adjustment and see if that helps my dragging clutch, if it doesnt it looks like im in the market for a new clutch or something

Clutch pedal rebuilt/modification/ beefing completed ( thankfully it all worked )

15mm bolt replaced the stock pin in the C bracket
welded a nut to the C bracket
bronze bushings in the pedal joints
welded Z arm to the pedal assembly

Good job man. Hopefully that'll work great. Mine got to the point where I couldn't even put it in gear anymore, so I just ordered a new pedal and that flange the pedal goes to from the dealer and that fixed the problem. I was positive that was it. Those last like 20 years anyways so I got another 20 years of pedal life again now. That shit was hard for Kris though man.

first time took 8 hours from start to finish with alot of cig breaks.

second time i had it out in 45 min and back in within two hours including welding time... its not that bad if you know the tricks to getting it out LOL

if it weighs less than 50 lbs im probably doing the job alone. or if i can use something mechanical to help me ( cherry picker for transmission and shit.

these cars are just too easy to work on compared to some others. every thing is straight forward. you can leave almost every thing in th eengine bay there and still pull the transmission.

in which ... looks ike i will be eventually tearing this one down to get to the 3rd gear sync. seems i didnt save it in time. oh well i'll drive it untill it explodes

Haha nice, hey man if anybody on here wants to tag along to go see transformers 3 tomorrow let me know because I'm Rollin out there to oceanside probably around 6ishpm

Now that I look at it you probably don't want to be putting any pens down that 90*, you might lose them. :)

I had today off so I went up to MCAS Miramar Auto Shop and did some work to El Diablo. Knocked out my 3500 mile earl change and also took a sample of it to get analyzed, changed out my transmission fluid with some that nice blue looking MT90/lightweight fluid, finished up hogging off metal from the driverside knuckle for the Evo Brembos (A LOT OF THANKS GOES OUT TO KRIS FOR HELPING WITH THIS ONE), and also installed my rear solid polyurethane roll stop that I got from Adam up in L.A. Here are a few pics.

I'd like to thank Kris and Ed for coming down halfway through and giving me that Mexican food and NOS to keep me going, as well as helping with everything. I do appreciate it a bunch... :rocks:

The brembo's are gonna look amazing. As long as there is not a metal detector for mod we will be ok because them shavings are now permanently imbedded in my shins and calves. worth it.

Once I find myself a set of wheels that fit over those monsters maybe...

Saturday Dont forget!, Barona 1/8th mile drags

40 to race 10 to spectate.

i'll be running, would be cool to see a couple of you guys out also

If i get a HX35, what all do i need from the original turbo? I know i need the BEP housing, but wondering about the different year models of the HX35, but im thinking thats just the mounting setup and not the meat of the turbo...

Am i thinking correctly?

go read the holset threads they will explain everything. if I could redo everything I would keep the 12cm^3 housing and go the t3 route as with e85 you have much more back pressure and the larger housing allows for more lbs per min which equals more POWAH.....
