This Maft came off a 2g car and straight into my hands. Now why isnt it plug and play for me?

I just cut those two tabs and worked perfect for my car

ok owner said it does just plug in. Its werid but it does connect. I just started to see the tabs start to bend and was like (im not forcing this)

How is your box dialed in for OEM standards? Im just curious before I turn the key/
