I ran upon 2 wires that we're cut while working on my car today. The first one is right below the alternator.

Anyone know what's the wires called and their purpose thanks?!

I believe the wire under the alternator is the oil "dummy" light on the dash to tell you if you're out of oil or something similar. The one that's cut is most likely the oil pressure sender wire that connects to the back if the oil filter housing.
