Hi, I was wondering if I could use the afx ecu on a 96. I know it states for 97 only but whats the big difference?

Justin99RS said:he claims to have done it...but rest assured no one has successfully used an AFX ECU on any other year besided 97. howell does not and will not ever make them for OBD1 cars, and we will be lucky if we ever see them for 98-99..the only way it could even be remotely done is to completely swap out the entire wiring system in the car, 97 has different pinouts than the other years, therefore its completely impossible to do it..
