AFX ECU for 96?

Hi, I was wondering if I could use the afx ecu on a 96. I know it states for 97 only but whats the big difference? :confused:

theres a guy on here that has a 96 talon that he wired the 97 afx ecu up to. try and find him and ask him. he said it in a post once.
 
he claims to have done it...but rest assured no one has successfully used an AFX ECU on any other year besided 97. howell does not and will not ever make them for OBD1 cars, and we will be lucky if we ever see them for 98-99..the only way it could even be remotely done is to completely swap out the entire wiring system in the car, 97 has different pinouts than the other years, therefore its completely impossible to do it..

no not really, the 96-99 ecu's are very similar, the 95 is the one thats completely different. and he said he was studying engineering or somthing and just looked at the wiring diagram and spliced it in.
 
go ahead over to 2gnt and tell them that, they'll promptly laugh you right out of the place. it's not as simple as just "splicing" the wires...if it were beleive me there would be plenty of is with the ECU..

why dont you go tell him how its impossible to do what he did then
