Aftermarket Head unit Powers on but no sound

ok so I pulled out my head unit and took a look at it because I was trying to make sure that the antenna power was correct. (It goes up whenever the car is on and it is annoying) It looked like it was so I put everything back and bolted it up.

Now I have no sound out of the speakers or the subwoofers regardless of the input. All the fuses i could find (2 under the hood and the one in line to the head unit) look fine.

Anyone help?

I should mention as I was fiddling with it i blew the radio fuse under the hood. Not sure why. No open wires that I notice...

Try this: change the Source to FM/AM and see if everything turns on.

Most modern head units have TWO turn-on leads. One for a power antenna and one for amplifiers. The antenna one only activates when FM/AM is toggled...and the amplifier one turns on whenever the head unit turns on. It's a pretty common mistake to mix these two up.

Also, some Pioneer models have a "pico fuse" for the preamp outputs that blow very easily. I've heard lots of Pioneer owners bi*** about them.

sounds like you could have accidentally grounded a speaker lead, that will cause all of the speakers to not work, but the radio to still power on and function properly

pretty sure the head unit is toast...could have been the grounded speaker lead thing...like mr. Cii said.

I am replacing the head unit soon.
