I am trying to use aftermarket actuators to hopefully fix my power door locks.
The actuators have a blue and green wire. From reading other posts and looking at some wiring diagrams on the driver door harness, the blue/red and the blue/black wires are the ones I need to tap into.
But using my voltmeter I get 12v from blue/red to blue/black while not touching to door switch to lock/unlock. When I push the door lock switch to unlock it drops to 0v. Should it not go to -12v? When I push to lock it stays at +12v. So I wired in the actuator but as soon as i connected it extends since there's constant 12v.
I push the unlock and it try's to retract but as soon as I let go of the switch it goes to fully extended.
