We try to get people to keep their front narrowband O2 sensor operational because wideband sensors don't seem to have the same lifespan and the car doesn't run as well when the O2 quits.
So what options do I have then as far as with the oem sensor? Do I get an additional o2 bung installed and leave the oem one in the factory spot and put the second one on the down pipe?

You weld another bung in the down pipe for the wideband. The simulation in link works but never ends up with results as well as keeping the factory front o2 for closed loop feed back.

Yes, that's the best. Clearly it's not what everyone does but the shortcut often comes around and bites them in the rear.
