I have purchased and used an AEM short ram intake system for my 99' Eclipse GS 420a back in 2007. The intake has worked great for me through the years, but I have been having hesitation problems when driving over bumpy roads. Yesterday I went to autozone and purchased a brand new cone to replace the dry filter, because it was time for a new one. ANYWAYS long story short, the car runs much better with the new cone, but I still continue to get the weird hesitation problems (less than before) when accelerating over bumpy roads. It seems like the intake has to be aligned to a PRECISE position with the throttle body to function properly without any slight hesitation. Anyone else ever experience this? Or know how to properly align the intake to eliminate the air induction problems?
