Hamilton,
I recently bought a used ACT lightweight flywheel off someone (pretty sure from this site). he said it was in the car for less then 100 miles, im wondering if these burn marks are bad enough for a resurface:

If you cant see it good enough, let me know and ill get a closer pic...Thanks

EDIT: the guy who sent me the flywheel said he took it to a machine shop and they said it wasn't worth it to resurface. i just want 2nd opinions so i don't install something that needs to be fixed!

It's apparent that that flywheel had more than 100 miles on it....

If it DIDN'T, then those 100 miles were horribly abusive.

Best guess....more than 100 miles.

so you think i should get it resurfaced? and whats the deal about making sure about "step" or w.e

I believe the ACT flywheel is a one piece chromly unit. Typically a one time use. Those heat spots don't look pretty. If it really was on there for under 100 miles, the guy beat on it from day one. IMO it's time to look for another one.

Is it really in that bad of shape? the assured me it wasnt that bad, and hes even on my msn and helps me whenever i have questions about DSM's...He's been working on them for years, i dont think he would try to rip me off....some other opinion would be greatly appreciated:confused:

I got a mechanic buddy of mine to look at it and he said that is is fine. I also msg'd the seller and again, he said it was tested true all the way around. So looks like im not going to get it resurface, just drop it in when i get my 2600 pp and disc
