What's up. This will be my 1st non-build thread post here. Here's the situation:

When I was pressing the inner balance shaft bearing out, with my socket got stuck in the hole. It's completely flush as you can see here.

It's a very tight fit, and I've even put an impact on it to try to twist it out, to no avail. Now here's the question, should I just leave it in there? I mean, it's doing the exact same thing as a rotated/blank bearing right? It should block oil flow just fine, correct? I'm sure I can get it out eventually, but I'm gonna be honest it would be really funny knowing that a 31mm socket is in the engine of my rally car, and it's a performance mod at that.

So, thoughts? Leave it or not? I have a Nippon BSD kit, so I have the blank bearings.

I did this long ago. Ended up drilling and tapping the end of the block for a pipe plug so I could get into the end with a punch and push the socked out. I also then made a really nice Installer remover tool.

Lastly throw the nippon stub shaft in the trash and buy an OEM mitsu one.
 
That would make me crazy wondering just when it might back out, so I'd get it out.

Maybe cut a piece of wood dowel to fit inside the socket but longer so you can use a prybar to push it out.

Why should I throw it out? Is it softer than OEM?
