A little history...

My 95 marks my 4th DSM, the last 3 of which have been turbo cars.

It all started with a 95 GS, which developed electrical gremlins and was subsequently left behind in Germany. It was while I had this car that I discovered this site.

Then came the 96 Spyder. Turbo, convertible, and loads of fun. Unfortunately it was stolen and totaled.

After about a year, my brother told me about a 97 GS-T he had just become aware of. Low miles, 1 owner, stock. The DSM bug bit me, and I bought it. I had it for a few months, then that same brother got into a nasty car wreck and totaled his DD. Since I didn't need a DD, I sold him the Eclipse.

Then, August of this past year, I came across the GSX. Yeah, it had been in a wreck (and totalled). The pre-wreck pics didn't look too bad, and the post-repair pics looked fine. I admit I was taking a chance, but the car has held up.

I have finally achieved my DSM holy grail - a GSX. It's not without it's faults, but warmer weather, a recent budget review, and a viewing of "Love the Beast" have gotten me to decide to make my dream of road racing a reality. And this journal will be here to document the journey.

Thanks. It's interesting to see how my goals have changed as well. When I had the GS, it was all about Bomex kits and underglows.

The Spyder was just going to be a mean street machine.

It's only recently that I've had a clear focus on what I want to do.
