A/C Compressor will not engage.

The car had working a/c when my gf bought it a year ago, before we met. A few weeks later the a/c stopped blowing cold. Well she never had anyone look at it because she always had the top down anyways. I was looking in to the problem and everything seems to work but the a/c compressor will not engage, no click, no grinding, nothing from that area. Is there a possibility that its the wire that hooks to the a/c clutch is not getting power? What wiring should I check for this?

If the refrigerant is too low the a/c compressor will not engage. You could try to depress the shradder valve on one of the a/c connectors to see if theres anything in the system, but even if there was it still could be such low pressure that it wont engage. Try calling a local shop and see how much it would be to just hook up an ac machine to your car to check the pressures

Evil is correct, its either not getting power or the system has no pressure.

You checked all the fues on driver side firwall for the AC?
