I had replaced the clutch approxamtly 2 weeks before I got this problem. My friend and I were driveing down the road trying to tune with dsmlink. We figured out if I pull timing I could boost past 4k rpms. So we go out to a back road to tune on with no traffic. I start boosting in third gear and all of a sudden it was like i pushed the clutch pedal. It just stopped holding the power and the engine went up to the rev limiter. So I pushed the pedal down and pulled it out of gear and put it in forth, nothing. I tried second, nothing. No gears would do anything. I could hear the TOB makeing noise but nothing else. I finally pulled off the road shut the car off and looked under the hood. Nothing looks broken the slave cylender still had pressure on it no metal chunks anywhere. I started it up and tried again no gears do anything. you can put it in gear without pushing the clutch but it still doesnt move at all. the TOB whines alittle but thats it. The car had to get towed home. So I thought i must have broken the tranny. So I bought another tranny that I knew worked. Put it in and drove with no problems for about 3 miles and then the same thing happened while babying the car. I have rebleed the clutch. Still nothing.
Here is the list of things I have tried:
Replaced the master cylinder
Replaced the slave cylinder
Clutch only has 100 miles on it
Replaced tranny
bleed clutch
has a new clutch fork and pivot ball
new stainless steel line to delete fluid resivor ( I did bend the line that goes to the resivor during the install but I think its not kinked now )
checked fluid in tranny
Thats all I can think of. I really need help it has been sitting for months now and I am going to have to sell it soon but I got to get it running again soon.
Thanks for any help,
Jeremy
