Ive only seen this attempted once and it wasnt finished. your better off doing a 2.4L out of a stratus.

This thread should help you out further

1g neons guys do this in their cars, use the 2.4 block and the 2.0 heads, wiring that up is almost 100% plug and play. Internals, manifolds, all the bolt on stuff from an SRT fits right in place. Another common swap for neon guys, which im sure would work perfectly fine on a 2.4 bottom end, is using an eclipse na head.

ive always thought about doing this swap, im pretty sure its nowhere near as hard as people think!!

Soooo, no updates? ;)

Not as of yet. The wife's truck had issues with a p0301 and it was taking a while to fix. I did manage to get the eclipse up to the garage last sun. I do have a question on the eclipse, would u try to sell the driveterrain while its still i,n the car? It runs good,no smoke,no funny noises, but the mileage kills it,at 166tho.

I would at least shoot video of it running and stuff before you pull it, that way when you go to sell the engine you got some kinda proof that it runs .

Hmm, what's a "g2"?

Assuming that's yours, put up some more pics of the install progress and any fab work needed done.

oh my I hope that was just a typing error LOL g2. but put some more pics up im sure the N/T would love this swap

I was up till 11 last night stuffing this pig in. Still have a long way to go. Its siting on blocks till i determine were i want it extally. The hood closes without rubing. The axles are hybirds. Will post more when avail. Im at a family reunion were thiers 3g, at home dial up.heres the rest of my picks till i get home.

Am I the only one who realizes that looks a lot more like the PT Cruiser turbo engine and not the SRT?

Perhaps? I'm not a car fanatic by any means to know what kind of motor comes in any other vehicles other than my own.

Regardless, it's still an improvement over the 420a.

Idk they are both very ugly engines... But I thought it looked different to...I've seen a Srt-4 engine once.

This is a mockup its siting on bricks. The car cost me 125 the srt 300. I figure if i can get it to work ill have my own unique turbo eclipse, if not I will part every thing out and make money. The biggest problem i have now is the main engine mount its gonna be the bigest pain of this project.
