Nice buiild so far! As suggested by a few others change the way you have the oil pressure sending unit mounted. I had a similar setup and it snapped on me one day while driving. Luckily I caught it right away and didn't suffer any engine damage.

Still working on getting it tuned with the help of Gofer and Snowborder714 very grateful for them! We have it boosting at 25psi on 90 oct!
I plastidiped my wheels.
I have it getting a new viper alarm system installed today.

I need to upgrade fuel injectors. I think I will be going with FIC 1150cc.

Since I have plastidipd my wheels I have had to change a few things. I got my new Car alarm installed :D
FIC 1150cc fuel injectors
Also got some used Koni Yellows with GC's
New front wheel hubs, and a complete rebuild kit for the drivetrain. Also an STM SS clutch line(the short one).
This all should make for a pretty smooth ride. :hellyeah:
Also got a brand new in box B&M Short shift:thumb:

Yes, did you want your external wastegate to be on the o2 housing or off of the exhaust manifold?

I did not show it but I should have. I grinded out the flapper arm and where the long rod came through to control the flapper I threaded it to a slightly bigger size and put a bolt into it. I think this is a good alternative to welding the rod back in. I put some high temp rtv onto the bolt as I threaded it in.

********************************************************************************
In the past couple of days I have added my DC front and rear strut bars, put on koni yellow strust all the way around with ground control coil overs. Also I replaced my old OEM radiator with Mishimoto Aluminum radiator and replaced all the coolant hoses with the import evolution 11 piece kit. I am so happy I did because now my car actually gets warm. My old radiator had issues LOL.

Pictures of it lowered. I will post some more later of the new DC Strut bars.

**EDIT Pictures have been lost to time. Updated and will re-Post pictures.**

Found some pictures of my evo 3 16g while I was taking it apart to make it externally gated.

In this one you can see I am removing the wastegate arm.

In this one you can see the flapper that is going to need to be removed.

Where my finger is at here you need to take that out. What I did was grind off the flapper and then took a small die grinder and cut the arm off and was able to pull it out. Then I got a tap and tapped for a slightly larger then the hole is and threaded in the bolt. Walla it is not ready to be externally gated. You can see those Tial wastegate in my previous pictures. :D

you should port the bajeesus out of that wastegate flapper hole now, prime. cant wait to see this sweet punishment elbow in there, woop woop

Yah I need to get some pictures of it installed. I did not port the hole but I wish I had LOL. Who knows I may do this on my christmas break. But I must say with that Tial wastegate the boost holds solid. No spikes. So not TOO worried about it but bigger is better LOL.
I will try and get some pictures of the bay tomorrow. I need to wash it kinda dirty.

Oh and PS I wish I had your return line LOL

I'll make one for you at cost if you want, I like fabricating. I've got some new ideas for next time as well for better flow. Let me know when you want to go holset big and ill set you up. I'm working on my holset feedline now, this is it so far:
Photoon11-27-12at152AM7.jpg

-4 AN off the OFH into a .75 restrictor into a FP red inline oil filter. Inline oil filter is courtesy of smalltowndsmer, a donation to my project. Man has a heart of gold. I guess ill stop before I completely hijack your build thread :)

What Bar are you running on your tial gate? You have the stock 1 bar springs in there? I replaced my springs the other day, im going 1.7 bar in both.

Yah I will let you know when I decide to upgrade to a bigger turbo.
I have the .9bar in it atm. And I use my MBC to turn it up to get to 25psi. Man I wish Alaska had better fuel options. we only got 90 octane. I would love to run E85. One day I will when I move out of Alaska LOL.

Here are some updated pics taking just a few minutes ago. I am working on gettin her tuned.

How is the horsepower and throttle response on the car since the rebuilt upgrades ? Also how do you have your AFPR hooked up. I can see in the pic. Bit why from stock fpr then to AFPR?

Well as of right now the hp and throttle response are quite bad. The engine is going through a complete rebuild. I started out suspecting bad rings because of poor leak down test results. I drove it and was going to replace rings when summer got here. However shortly after I realized my rings were going I was driving home and all of a sudden I hear this loud tick tick tick so I pull off at next exit because I was on the highway. I pop the hood and I knew I had spun a rod bearing. Got that car towed home and waited until I could work on it. Got the entire motor out and all broke down to be takin to machine shop.
Turns out my crank journals were toast bad bearings metal shavings on oil drain plug. I was planning on swapping a lot of stock parts anyhow this summer but wasn't planning on needing a new crank, turbo rebuilt, new oil pump and oil lines.
So the block is getting cleaned decked and awaiting to see what the new overbore size will be. New freeze plugs. I have eagle rods and will go with either weisco or manley 8.5:1 cr pistons depending on price.
I have a set of dks2 cams on the way from ffwd and they were cool enough to help me out and locate a crank for cheap plus do all machine work on it too. So I was stoked about that.
I have a new gasket kit from felpro to go on.
I am trying to decide if I should do bs elimination or get new bearings and keep it. The only real hold back from doing bse is I don't want the vibration. I want a nice and smooth ride as this will be a dd. Input from people that have bse or experience in a dsm without it would be great.
Still waiting to do that head. It will be getting new ss values bronze guides, springs to support dks2's.
While i'm waiting I took that entire interior and hatch all apart to track down wires that went to no where and see if I could fix my rear defrost not turning on. Also had to rip out there motorized antenna. I also cleaned out all that dirt and dust replaced nasty ass screws and bolts with new ss ones.
If anyone is getting rid of their interior I could use a bunch of the clips that go on the plastic parts. It drives me up a wall when people that do stuff only half ass. My p.o was a moron.
Any-who I got interior back together, missing clips though.
I am about to take purple power to the engine bay and see if I can clean all that junk up. Me and my brother built a car hauler from an old 5th wheel. Its sweet I hauled a truck and my car with it. So i'm going to get my car back on it and go to a car wash and blast the bay.

Oh the AFPR is connected to the brake reservoir. Also the AFPR is not connected to the stock fpr.

Damn, already back on the road? You dont mess around!

Good choice going with the BSE/Polly mounts and throttle cable swap.

Hows it running?

Bet you could have gotten away with starting it dry with all that assembly lube! LOL
