98 eagle talon a/t temp light on!

98 eagle talon tsi 125,000 miles on the clock. last night i check my trans fluid and it was bone dry went to the auto parts store and got 7 quarts of atf4 and replaced it started the car this morning and the temp light is on and there seems to be smoking what could this be?

you could have over filled it your trans where is the smoke coming from

If your transmission was empty your probably smoking where your leak is.

Most likely ^/above stated, you smoke is coming from seals leaking.
