Hey guys, just want to include everyone on my new project and my 3rd DSM build.
I just came up on a one of a kind find and just couldn't pass it up. It was Ken Frakes' personal car, he was the owner of the DSM shop Imagine Motorsports. It is a 97 Eclipse GSX that has been garaged in storage for over the last 14 years. The car has 29,000 original miles on it and it is immaculate. 10/10 white exterior, 10/10 tan leather interior with chrome Galant VR4 wheels. interior still smells like a new car!!
This was an 11 sec street car during the 90's with full trim (ac,power steering,cruise,ect..) I now work with Ken and he is gonna be involved in the build with me as we are going to use a lot of his Imagine motorsports proven performance parts a long with a now fully build motor. Goal is a stock appearing car with full trim that can kill on the track. Would be awesome to hear some suggestions and opinions from you guys as a lot has changed since my last DSM build about 10 years ago.

Hoping to get the block from the machine shop any day now. Leaning towards going with ECMlink in a speed density setup. Possibly a precision turbo, modified 20g, or even a holset setup. Would like some opinions on turbo/injector setup:thumb:
 
Congrats on the acquisition. It is a great looking/condition car to get going. With how far we have come with tuning and technology sinces the early 90's you could make this a high 10's daily.

those are 3KGT VR4 not GVR4 rims. I read your intro before seeing the pics and wondered "why would anybody go through the trouble of chrome plating 16 inch GVR4 rims then putting them on a GSX?"
