Great suggestion Deric! They have a bc internals built 2g head there for 675. So if need be I can snatch a 2g intake and put her back together. I'm not sure if my fuel rail is compatible though. I bought with car with the 1g manifold installed and port matched

Well that’s another option. Quick search says the rails are cross compatible.

Well my friends the final verdict on the head from a very notable machinist was "get a new head."
Got a good friend here on the forum trying to help with sourcing a new head and possibly a 2g intake. Even if that doesn't work out I will continue hunting.

It's been a stretch of time since my last update and I really need some help because as it turns out the engine situation is much more serious than a head replacement. After assessing damages it would be impossible for me to outright rebuild my long block due to funds. I'm instead looking into a used long block and was hoping some of you guys that follow the build would mind helping me keep an eye out for a decent 2g motor. It does not need to be perfect just something that has some life left in it. Completely stock or modified is ok with me too. Not having much luck finding a good one. I appreciate all you guys that have helped me in the past and have been supportive. I really don't want to get rid of this thing I know I'd hate myself if I did. Thank you in advance to anyone who takes the time to scope around.

Jeff, what was the damage besides the head components? Was the bottom end damaged, too?

Not sure how useful this is but I have a 6bolt bottom end that I am not going to use...

The piston crowns a pitted like crazy the cylinder walls are damaged from the valves breaking and bouncing around in there its a mess

I see How bad is the cylinder wall damage?

It's pitted really badly and gouged in several spots. I don't want to risk using it in a rebuild.
