Hello all ive read thru this site before and seem great so now i need help and joined. Long story short my lady and have one car no ac in miami. Now about a year ago i had to fix my old gs and found a shop that saved my butt race night so i stayed going there the owned showed me my .now gst and said the owner never paid him so i bought the car. Now i did see all the parts and what not new cam and crank sensor ecu was sent out and fixed but she just wont stay on. Now i have the car this jerk off when i asked when can he finish it so i can him the last i owe tells me to take it elsewhere.... So im on my own now if i turn it and gas it it'll rev to about 3 4 k and dies if i stay turning the key i can keep kinda on what could cause this. Ive seen ot bout this issue but what ive seen to do ive already done. Now i also was told a bad maf could do this but my dash dont have a cl on please help and ty all in advance.

Damn man English is not my main language but there's something wrong with yours. Is just an advice not trying to be a jerk here just saying.
Now from what I understand you bought a Gst with a freshly rebuild engine and you have no CEL but is not running right!? So check your timing, check the CAS and do all maintenance like change fuel filter air filter spark plugs and wires etc. You can follow the maintenance guide here on the forum.

Sorry i have a crappy phone. But yes all this was done and the guy who did the motor hes good and another customer agreed. So it has new.plugs wires crank and cam sensors i saw the line he made on the cam pullys lined up new oil and gas. Im trying to post a pic of the engine but my phone wont load it.

Um well if i play with the gas it will rev up not that quick but even holding down the gas it just shuts off and if i just turn the key it'll how to can i say it kinda gargle on for a few seconds and turn off. is there something else you had in mind as per details?

Ok if this helps i got the engine pic as an Avatar and in my pics.

Try hooking up a scanner just cause the lights not in dint mean anything it may be burnt out or taken out. Clean the mag check all hoses vac fuel and fuel filter. Look at your plugs and post pics the guys on this forum are awesome. Do a compression test and a leak down test. That way if something may be wrong with that you will know. Mabel post up a video of what's happening some one can chime in as I don't know the gst I'm just going off basic car knowledge. Hope you get it figured out man.

All the piping is welded no sleeves and the will stay on for like 3 sec only when i turn the key

Are you getting any fuel? Is the pump working, can you hear it? How long was the car sitting during the rebuild?

^^^^ I agree try an obd2 scanner the light might be burned out, it sound like a maf problem tho so check any vacuum/boost leaks also check the for any leaks between the maf and the turbo, I had some what of the same problem so I hope this helps

Check your idle air control valve, they will cause a car to start and then die right away over and over

I'd agree check for stored codes maybe the bulb is burned! But to me it sounds more like a fuel/spark related problem instead of air because he says that even if he give it gas It will go to 3k-4k rpm and still dies even with a bad ISC or MAF the car will stay on if you give it gas will run like crap but will run. Please correct me if I'm wrong!

um well my stang didn't stay on with a bad maf. but anyway today im getting a comp and recoding a video hopefully I can fig. something out.

Ok weird this sensor was changed but i got one code its p0340 camshaft position sensor a circuit bank 1 or single sensor. Wtf is this?

The car should idle with a bad maf, so ignore that for now.

I would check to make sure your ignition is firing on all four cylinders and see if the coolant temp sensor is connected.

If thats what it says, change the sensor. Ill also be doing this seeing as were both having the same issue.

well here is my issue i got that code before when we did the rebuild the sensor is new. now i have to see if my sensor still has warrenty i dont want to spend money of something thats not wrong. i hope your sit. gets resolved quickly and keep me posted if this solves your problem. and if any1 knows someone in the south fla area that can help ### let me know thanks you all
