Ok i just rebuilt my motor for my 95 gst about a week ago, i put the motor back in the car 2 days ago, i started it yesterday. The car starts but it does not stay running, when i start it the car goes to about 1k rpms and then dies, now if i give it gas it will stay on but runs like crap. A friend of mine said it was probably a vacume leak but i checked all my hoses and they were fine.If anyone here can give me some insight on what the problem might be i would greatly appreciate it.

try any boost leaks and check all the wire connections. make sure you have the grounds connected. might sound dumb but make sure the fuel pump is working and make sure you have gas.

Ok i checked all my wire connections and all my grounds are hooked up right. I did find the my ISC was bad so i put another one in that i had laying around that was good. The only thing i dont get is that i did the boost leak test but no matter how much air i put into the system it doesnt seem to pressurize.

Then you probably have a major boost leak. Look at your couplers and check your intercooler, I blew the welds apart on my FMIC this year and thats where my boost leak came from. Took me forever to find it.

Yeah, sounds like a boost leak to me. Spray soapy water over everything then try again and look for the bubbles. Take the non-hard pipes off the car and look over them closely. They may have torn.
