Good question! Id bet this motor will be on methanol, with that being said i wonder what egts are like on a methanol motor?

Didnt realize anyone had widebands that could survive pre-turbo heat. Good to know!

All O2 sensors measure lambda, not the gas scale AFR everyone is used to seeing. The conversion is done in the electronics or software. A sensor that reads down to 9:1 on the gas scale for example, or .61 lambda, will read down to about 3.9:1 on methanol. ;) I'm assuming this is what you meant and not that some bosch based kits only read down to around .7 lambda (some do, some do better).

The pre-turbo heat isn't a huge deal, on race cars the sensors get replaced all the time any way. The main problem is that the sensor are calibrated for near atmospheric pressures, not the kind of pressures you'll see pre-turbo. The key to making this work is real time pressure compensation. The kit linked to above does this.

Well we are finishing up the wiring, got it down on the floor to weight it so we can get the driveshaft on the way. Passenger door, windshield, dash and batteries not in it for ease of accessing the miles of wire. Weight was 1850 (so figure around 2000 when fully assembled) and a bias of 50.7 in the rear and 49.3 in the front. Here is new pics:

This is my first time seeing this. Wow would be an understatement. Subscribed and can't wait to hear more about how the car works out for you. Good luck!:thumb:

1. Not for sure on the shootout. We still have a lot of dyno time and tuning to do. Will know more later this spring
2. The sunroof is a tinted piece of plexi. We fabricated our own support into the roof to ensure that air pressure coming over the roof does not collapse it.

Absolutely fantastic! Great progress! There has been alot of work done in the 3 years this thread has been around, has it been a back-burner project most of its time, or has it been a consistent work-in-progress? The details are really damn nice, and the car looks awesome!

I look forward to hopefully seeing this car in person some day! Good luck with the completion of it!

We recently took the car to a local car show, here are some pics. Should dyno soon
